Details
FCC, NRTL
Purpose of Certification
FCC (Federal Communications Commission)
FCC certification is mandatory for most electrical and electronic equipment that uses intentional or unintentional radio frequency energy, regulating products under CFR Title 47 to prevent harmful interference between devices.
NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory)
NRTL certification is operated and evaluated by OSHA under the U.S. Department of Labor. It aims to ensure product safety through testing and factory audits for electrical and electronic products, fire detection and suppression equipment, gas appliances, explosion-proof equipment, and related products.
Certification Overview
FCC (Federal Communications Commission)
Conformity must be demonstrated with standards required under the Communications Act and federal regulations for effective use of frequency bands from 10 kHz to 3,000 GHz.
NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory)
For specified industrial products (37 categories), products and components must be shown to meet applicable safety standards for each product type.
